View down from Dover Castle to the Church of St Mary, the Harbour and the English Channel beyond. The unsung hero who planned the 'miracle of Dunkirk' worked with his men and women in Dover Castle, looking out across the Channel to the cities and fields of Europe where the Third Reich was reaping a fiery whirlwind and 300,000 soldiers of the British and French armies lay trapped at Dunkirk. The 70th Anniversary of Dunkirk is May 26th - June 4th.
